Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) today launched a campaign of informing passengers who choose to travel by air titled, Travel Informed. Claim your Rights!
According to AAC, the passengers’ rights cannot be ignored and need to be observed. ‘’Either we speak about a delayed, cancelled flight, a lost luggage, the consumers’ rights are clearly established by the legislation and must be observed by the air carriers. And if this does not happen, we are with the passengers, in order to provide them with information or the support they need,’’ AAC noted.
The duration of the campaign is two weeks and during this time passengers will be informed about their rights and the existence of institutions which defend them.
The action will include: distribution of informative materials on passengers’ rights; setting a desk at the airport where daily colleagues from the Consumers’ Protection will provide consultancy to passengers interested in their legal rights; publicizing the campaign.
At the same time, a video clip will be screened, including with subtitles in Russian and English, on social networks and panels at the Airport. Also, informative banners/panels, which contain a QR code leading to a questionnaire for passengers, will be placed at the headquarters of the Airport.
Also, AAC launched an online questionnaire for passengers, the role of which is to collect relevant information and details on passengers’ needs and expectations. The questionnaire can be accessed here: https://www.caa.md/chestionar-pasageri-3-225.
The information campaign was launched, after more air companies operating flights at the Chisinau International Airport had informed about delays and cancellations of flights, which triggered citizens’ discontent.
