As many as 9,291 contracts on lease registered in Moldova since early 2023

Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/ - The State Fiscal Service (SFS) today informed that the collection of the income tax from private people who lease real estate had grown by 38.4 per cent in the first five months of 2023 against the same period of the year before and amounted to 21.4 million lei (about 1.1 million euros).

According to SFS, as a result of actions of voluntary compliance and informing, 1,107 private people who lease real estate were identified during January-May 2023.

„Also, controls were carried out in 178 private people who lease real estate and the following payments were additionally calculated at the budget: payments worth 360.6 thousand lei, late payment addition amounting to 26,000 lei and fine was imposed worth 13.3 thousand lei,’’ SFS said.

Following the actions undertaken in the first 5 months of this year, 9,291 contracts on leasing real estate were recorded, up by 22.6 per cent against the same period of 2022
