Moldovan, Romanian officials approach cooperation

Chisinau, June 16. /MOLDPRES/- The head of Moldovan diplomacy, Nicu Popescu, had a telephone conversation with Luminița Odobescu to whom he extended cordial congratulations on appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, the MAEIE press service has reported.

"We discussed the importance of bilateral relations between our countries and strongly expressed my belief that they will continue to develop rapidly. We are determined to carry out common projects. Romania will continue to be the main advocate of our country in the process of joining the European Union.

At the end of the discussion, I invited the minister to pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova", said Popescu.
