PHOTO Over 100 students of Stefan cel Mare Academy of Moldova take solemn oath

Chisinau, 19 June /MOLDPRES/ - Over 100 first-year students of the Stefan cel Mare Academy from Chisinau today took the solemn oath. The festive event took place under the Combat Flag of the institution and with the brass band singing.
Attending the ceremony was Interior Minister Ana Revenco, the Academy’s management, veterans, relatives and other honorary guests.
Minister Ana Revenco conveyed a congratulatory message to the graduates. „The oath you took today represents a moment of maturity in your career. I congratulate you on this! I know quite well what swearing to the Motherland means and how emotional this moment is for each of you. This ceremony is equally emotional for your families as well, whom I thank for having encouraged you to opt for a career in the interior affairs system,’’ Ana Revenco said.
For his part, Rector of the Stefan cel Mare Academy Dinu Ostavciuc, said that the future defenders of the society and of law and order today had made the first assumed step in their professional career. „You are the ones who will defend the country and citizens; you are our future and the future of our country. On this occasion, I wish you success and I urge you to take over the best advice and teachings from your teachers. The corps of teachers of the Academy takes every responsibility, in order to train you to get the rank of officer, so that you fulfill your duties with pride, in order to maintain the public order and combat the criminality,’’ Dinu Ostavciuc stressed.
In the end of the ceremony, students defiled, thus honouring the guests of the institution and the reserve officers.
