Chisinau, 19 June /MOLDPRES/ - The government’s lawyer, Eduard Digore, has described the ruling on the unconstitutionality of the Shor Political Party as ‘’legal and grounded.’’
Following the pronouncing of the ruling, the lawyer stressed that the Constitutional Court’s decision was democratic. ‘’This is a grounded, legal ruling, based on the evidence brought by the government. This is an important turning point for the political situation in the country. After the issuance of this ruling, the political parties will no longer be able to infringe the law,’’ Eduard Digore said.
The Constitutional Court declared the Shor Political Party unconstitutional today. The process of consideration was initiated based on a notification submitted by the Moldovan government to CCM, according to which the cabinet asked to verify the constitutionality of the Shor Political Party.
The Court’s ruling enters into force at the moment of its adoption, cannot be subjected to any way of appeal and is published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
