General Prosecutor's Office to check correctness of actions of people responsible for Airport security

Chisinau, July 3. /MOLDPRES/- The General Prosecutor's Office initiated a criminal process to verify the non-fulfillment or improper fulfillment of service obligations by the persons involved in ensuring the security of the persons at the Airport on June 30, which resulted in the death of two persons.

The institution also stated that the basic criminal file is managed by the Chisinau Prosecutor's Office.

"Society is to be informed promptly, in the future, about the developments with major social impact, to the extent that the information would not affect the criminal investigation", a press release of the General Prosecutor's Office reads.

Two persons - a border policeman and an airport security employee died on the evening of Friday, June 30, at Chisinau International Airport, after they were shot by a foreign citizen, who was not allowed to enter the country.
