About a thousand children from Moldova to have rest in Romania

Chisinau, July 3. /MOLDPRES/- A number of 940 pupils of educational institutions from Moldova with very good academic results will rest this summer in summer camps in Romania. They will participate in various educational, cultural and sports activities.

A lot of lectures on Romanian history and civilization will be organized, as well as screenings of Romanian films. The program also includes excursions and hikes to cultural and tourist attractions.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), the camps will be opened in several Leisure Centers, including Oglinzi in Neamț County, Sângeorz-Băi, Bistrița-Năsăud County, Sulina, Tulcea County and Botoșani, Botoșani County.

The beneficiaries of the "ARC" Program, now in its 14th edition, are students from primary and secondary education institutions, winners of national and international Olympiads/competitions, as well as young people with very good academic results, special skills in sports, music, fine arts etc. The expenses regarding accommodation, food and transport from Chisinau to Romania will be covered by the organizers. The students will be accompanied by 101 teaching staff.

The camp program is organized by the Department for Relation with Romanians Abroad within the Romanian Government, through the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.
