Chisinau, July 11. /MOLDPRES/- Today Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan provided details on remuneration of the artists who performed at the European Moldova National Assembly, organized on May 21, on the Great National Assembly Square.
The information was provided after a list of the fees obtained by some artists or artistic collectives who took the stage in the center of the capital on May 21 appeared in the press. The amounts presented vary between 5 thousand lei and 100 thousand lei (5 thousand euros).
Prodan said that the figures are true, and the artists' fees were established based on "common sense, transparency and equality".
"The amounts are true, they are based on our response to an association's request. The list and the attribution of an amount to one artist or another is an assumption of the respective association, because we have not made public the information related to natural persons, who have activated on the basis of patent or legal persons. We made public the fees of public institutions, cross-checking the information about private artists", said the minister.
Sergiu Prodan admitted that by late 2023, events dedicated to supporting our country's European path could be organized.
According to the data previously presented by the authorities, more than 4.7 million lei were spent for the organization of the European Moldova National Assembly on May 21.
