Students from Moldova won three bronze medals at the International Mathematics Olympiad

Chisinau, July 12. /MOLDPRES/- The Olympic team of the Republic of Moldova won three bronze medals and three honorable mentions at the International Mathematics Olympiad, held in Chiba, Japan, on July 2-13.
The bronze medalists are Dan Cernatinschi, Dragoș Port and Alin Popescu, students of the "Orizont" Theoretical High School in Chisinau, and honorable mentions were obtained by Constantin Babuc, Marius Cerlat and Robert Barbuța, who study at the same educational institution.
618 students from 112 countries participated in the 64th edition of the International Mathematics Olympiad. According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), the Republic of Moldova was represented by six students and two teachers.
