PHOTO Medical institution in Ialoveni district provided with equipment thanks to Japan

Chisinau, July 14. /MOLDPRES/- Japanese Ambassador Yamada Yoichiro participated today in the completion ceremony of the physiotherapy equipment project of IMSP Bardar Health Center, Ialoveni district. The Japanese government offered the institution non-refundable funding worth 20,251 dollars through the Kusanone Program.
The funds were used to purchase five machines for electrotherapy, laser therapy, ultrasound therapy, magnetotherapy and vacuum therapy and the necessary furniture for the procedures, as well as a sterilization room. The equipment will contribute to strengthening the capacities to perform quality and safe physiotherapeutic procedures for the inhabitants of the villages of Bardar and Pojăreni.
Speaking about the efforts of Moldovan medical workers in the fight against the pandemic and managing the flow of refugees from Ukraine, Ambassador Yamada said "the international community has seen the enormous challenges you have faced and the exemplary and humanitarian professionalism you have shown". He said "the government of Japan will continue to work with you on joining the European Union".
The Kusanone program was launched in the Republic of Moldova in 2008. So far, Japan has provided non-refundable funding of 7.3 million dollars for 87 projects in the education, health and public utilities.
