Chisinau, July 17. /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) continues to record an increase in Platts quotations for petroleum products.
It takes place in the context of the entry into force of Saudi Arabia's decision to reduce oil production by one million barrels per day. Saudi Arabia was joined by Russia, which said in August Moscow would cut supplies by 500,000 barrels. Together, those volumes could represent about 1.5% of global shipments.
Thus, the international oil exchanges reacted by increasing prices, which generates appreciations of Platts quotations for petroleum products and is reflected in the value of fuel prices, Platts being the most important indicator that underlies the current method of determining the price level.
Therefore, compared to the indicators at the beginning of July, in the last session, Platts quotations increased by about $40/ton for petrol and $54/ton for diesel.
Under these conditions, for tomorrow, ANRE has set a maximum price for COR 95 petrol of 24.65 lei, increasing by 0.05 lei. At the same time, diesel will be sold for a maximum of 20.76 lei per liter, up by 0.09 lei.
