PAS to have new MP in Parliament

Chisinau, July 17. /MOLDPRES/- Mariana Lucrețeanu would fill the seat of deputy left vacant following the appointment of Dan Perciun to head the Ministry of Education and Research.

Central Electoral Commission (CEC) representatives said that according to the procedure, the parliament decision will be approved, which will take note of the vacancy of the deputy's mandate, after the new minister submits his mandate, he has 30 days for this.

CEC will initiate the procedure for validating the deputy's mandate from the list of alternate candidates of the Action and Solidarity Party. The mandate is to be validated by the Constitutional Court.

The Commission's representatives said that Dan Perciun's place would be filled out by Mariana Lucrețeanu. She is 43 years old, an engineer and specialist in international relations.

Dan Perciun was appointed Minister of Education and Research. He was sworn in today.
