Chisinau, Aug. 17 /MOLDPRES/- Temporary docks can be built on the Prut and Dniester rivers. A draft law was approved in the final reading by the parliament today.
The purpose of the changes is to eliminate administrative barriers in the regulatory framework that regulates the activities of embarking and disembarking passengers, as well as loading, unloading, storage, export, import of agricultural goods at the temporary quays, located outside the Giurgiulești port complex. The legislative initiative was set up following several requests from the representatives of the business environment, who cited the administrative difficulties in the transport of goods and passengers on inland waterways.
Also, the legislative changes are necessary given that due to the war, agricultural goods can no longer be transported through Ukrainian ports.
According to the provisions of the project, the restrictions on the prohibition of the movement of naval transport on internal waterways will be repealed. Thus, on the Dniester and Prut rivers, the 30-meter strip of land will be able to be used for navigation and the construction of temporary quay.
