Border Police issued recommendations for people planning to cross border on days off

Chisinau, August 18 /MOLDPRES/- The Border Police has come up with recommendations for people who plan to cross the border on days off and announces that in the case of large flows of travelers and cars, specific measures will be taken.

Statistics show that starting from Friday until Sunday night, the number of people and means of transport increases considerably in several crossing points: PTF Leușeni–Albita, PTF Sculeni, PTF Cahul and PTF Palanca–Maiaki - Udobnoe.

Police recommend travelers to opt for PTF Leova–Bumbăta instead of PTF Leușeni–Albita, for PTF Sculeni - PTF Costești–Stânca; PTF Palanca–Maiaki-Udobnoe, as an option PTF Tudora.

The Border Police reiterates that in situations of influx of travelers and means of transport, it intervenes with forces and means in order not to create queues and reduce the waiting time at the control line. Thus, the number of front-line employees is increased, all aisles are used and the processing and performance control technique is put into operation, a pro-active communication mechanism is ensured with the Customs Service and the border authorities of the neighboring states.
