Moldovan cabinet approves concept of Migration Information system

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/ - The General Inspectorate for Migration (IGM) will have a new information system, due to fit the modern technologies in the migration and asylum sector. The new system will allow users to access online the services provided by IGM, the time for files’ consideration will be shortened, taking into account the interconnection with other databases, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The concept of the Migration information system was approved by the cabinet, at a proposal of the Interior Ministry (MAI).

The initiative will ensure the digitalization of processes and the enhancement of the quality of the services accessed by foreigners, private people and legal entities. The project is meant to carry out the provisions included in the government’s action plan for 2023.
