Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/ - The veterinary physicians who, after the faculty’s graduation, will go to work to Moldova’s villages and towns, except for the Chisinau and Balti cities, will benefit from more facilities. The cabinet approved a decision to this effect today.
Thus, young specialists will receive an allowance of 15 average salaries on the economy. The allowance will be paid in three equal installments: following the expiration of the first month of work and subsequently at the end of each year of work. At the same time, the physicians will be able to benefit from the compensation of the expenses for the renting of dwelling or a free of charge dwelling provided by the local public authority. Among the facilities provided, there is also the monthly compensation of the costs of 30 KW/hour of electric energy and annual compensation of the costs of a stere of wood and one ton of coal, including in the case of heating with gas.
Young people who graduated from the Veterinary Medicine Faculty, in Moldova or abroad, and who in the next two years employ as or independently exercise the profession of veterinary physician in the villages or towns of Moldova, except for the Chisinau and Balti cities, will be able to benefit from the new facilities.
The initiative’s goal is to solve the problem of acute lack of veterinary physicians in settlements of Moldova and attract young specialists with education in this field to the rural environment. ‘’This is an investment in Moldova’s future and, explicitly – in the public health,’’ Deputy PM, Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Vladimir Bolea said.
According to data by the Veterinary Medicine Faculty of the Moldovan Technical University, about 35 veterinary physicians annually graduate from this faculty; yet, most of them choose to work in private clinics.
