Moldova's Commission for Emergency Situations approves allocation of 60 million lei for rehabilitation of railway infrastructure project

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/ - Sixty million lei will be allocated from the state budget for the rehabilitation of the embankment of the Cahul-Giurgiulesti railway, km 74, nearby the Valeni settlement. A decision to this end was approved at a today’s meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE), chaired by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The rehabilitation of the railway segment will contribute to the development of the alternative and safe connections to the Giurgiulesti, Galati and Reni ports. Under the instruction, the works of rehabilitation of the railway’s embankment will be authorized immediately and the project documentation will be given final touches during their carrying out. The state enterprise, Railway of Moldova (CFM) is recorded as beneficiary, for the designing works.
Another decision by CSE regards the returning to the government’s reserve fund of the unused financial means, earlier allocated under the Commission’s Decision for the carriage of humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. Forty eight thousand lei was turned to account out of the 162,000 lei.
Also, the CSE members updated the restrictive measures for the 2023-2024 hunting season.
