Two wine cellars from Moldova enter USA Wine Ratings

Chisinau, 22 August /MOLDPRES/ - Two wine cellars from Moldova - Fautor Winery and Purcari Winery – have won golden and silver medals at USA Wine Ratings.

Wines from ten countries were presented at the sixth edition of USA Wine Ratings and Moldova participated for the first time ever. The wines were tasted by a group of 24 experts, including Masters of Wine and sommeliers from the most important wine houses of the United States. The jury members assessed the wines based on three criteria: wine’s quality, price/quality ratio, quality of the packing.

Thus, the red wine, Illustro Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot 2016, from Fautor Winery got the title of ‘’best wine by country,’’ getting 93 points. As for the Purcari Winery, wines of the Nocturne range (available at Purcari Wine Bar), as well as one Academia Purcari wine distinguished themselves, by getting more than 90 points.
