Moldova, Ukraine to boost more bilateral projects in economy, energy, agriculture, infrastructure, transport sectors

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ - The regional security situation, in the context of Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine, and topical subjects on the bilateral agenda have been discussed at a meeting of Prime Minister Dorin Recean with his Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmyhal, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
„We agreed to boost a string of bilateral projects in such sectors as economy, energy, agriculture, infrastructure and transport. We contribute together to the regional efforts of ensuring the food security, through strengthening the cooperation for the transit of the Ukrainian goods, reestablishment and improvement of the road and railway transport infrastructure, from which including companies of Moldova benefit,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.
The Moldovan PM reiterated Moldova’s support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity, noting that Moldova would further contribute to the implementation of the Solidarity Corridors initiative.
The officials also discussed the process of carrying out of the European agenda and the progress made by the two countries to implement the European Commission’s recommendations.
„As good neighbours, we move forward with resolute steps on the irreversible way of accession to EU, thus proving our common will to edify modern, prosperous and democratic societies within the European family,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean added.
