First equipment for construction of Vulcanesti-Chisinau power line brought to Moldova

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ - The first consignments of equipment and materials for the construction of the Overhead Power Line (OPL) Vulcanesti-Chisinau have been brought to Moldova and the Project on Development of the Electric Energy System is underway. The Consolidated Unit for the Implementation and Monitoring of Projects in the Field of Energy (UCIPE) made statements to this effect today.

According to the quoted source, about 20 containers with a load of over 400 tons are to be delivered on the days to come, of which seven have already reached the warehouse. ‘’This is the second consignment of materials; the first one was received in July this year. Other batches of equipment will be delivered during the next months,’’ UCIPE said.

The technical project for the construction of OPL is at the final stage of verification and examination. The project fits the priorities of Moldova’s government and Energy Ministry and is declared of public utility and national importance. The project’s beneficiary is Moldelectrica and all electric energy consumers.
