Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has conveyed a message on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
The message reads:
„Today is an important day for our Ukrainian friends – the Independence Day. This is a really symbolical holiday, in the context that Russia wages an unjust war against Ukraine and attempts on its independence and territorial integrity.
On this day, we reaffirm our firm support and commitment for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, within its internationally recognized borders. Moldova is presently out of any military danger due to the courage and capacity of resistance of the Ukrainian army, for which we are grateful to it. We will continue providing Ukraine with all assistance possible, both bilaterally and within the international organizations.
We convey to our neighbours and friends that we stand with them and we wish them peace and prosperity.
З Днем Незалежності України! (Congratulations on Ukraine’s Independence Day!) ”.
