Restricted traffic in centre of Moldovan capital, in context of independence Day

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ - The road traffic in the centre of Moldova’s capital will be ceased on the period 25 August, 20:00 – 27 August 24:00, in the context of the organization of cultural and artistic events dedicated to Moldova’s Independence Day.
According to the Interior Ministry (MAI), the road traffic will be suspended on the Stefan cel Mare blvd., in the perimeter of the streets Metropolitan Banulescu-Bodoni and Aleksandr Pushkin.
In these conditions, the authorities urged drivers to move on the adjacent streets.
More cultural events organized by the government will be held in the capital on 27 August, when the 32nd anniversary of the proclamation of Moldova’s Independence will be marked. The festive schedule of festivities will start at 8:30, with laying of flowers at the monument to Stephen the Great and the Grieving Mother monument. Subsequently, the Moldovan leadership will participate in the official ceremony of inauguration of the National Holiday, Independence Day of Moldova, starting from 10:00.
Brass band concerts by the Presidential Orchestra of Moldova, Model Orchestra of the Interior Ministry’s General Inspectorate of Carabineers and the Brass Band of the Border Police will take place during the day.
