Moldova's National Employment Agency carries out more activities dedicated to Diaspora

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ - The National Employment Agency (ANOFM) carries out more activities dedicated to the Diaspora citizens in August.  

Thus, ANOFM, along with those 35 its territorial subdivisions (STOFM) is involved in the organization of activities which contribute to the promotion of employment measures and services, illegal migration on purpose of employment, as well as the informing on the risks of illegal migration.    

During one month, STOFM holds seminars, activities of informing, roundtables, open-doors day, consultations, discussions, creation workshops and other actions which are of interest for Moldovan citizens who are in the country,  including for those from abroad, who come home in August.     

ANOFM representatives presented the services, measures of occupation on labour market, as well as the vacant jobs declared by employers at the tenth edition of the Diaspora Congress, which brought together in Chisinau about 300 Moldova’s citizens who live abroad.  

According to data by the Agency, since early 2023, about 500 Moldovan citizens who returned from abroad have resorted to ANOFM services, of whom about 32 per cent occupied a job on the local market.

The migrants who come back can benefit from multiple services and activities on purpose of reintegration on the labour market. The range of services begins from the intermediation of a job, if it meets the personal education and abilities and continues with the providing of a free of charge professional training course, professional probation at an employer, consultancy in business, including support for starting a business.
