Moldovan citizens urged to participate in My Tricolour campaign, launched on occasion of national holidays

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s citizens are urged to participate in the My Tricolor campaign, due to be held on 27 August -1 September, on the occasion of the marking of the national holidays, Independence Day and  Romanian Language Day.   

The initiative celebrates the values of Moldova, through posting the Tricolour Flag in the in the most creative and original ways. ‘’Either you choose to raise the tricolor in front of the dwelling, decorate the vehicles with tricolour flags or  put on clothes in national colours – each gesture matters and contributes to edification of a united and strong community,’’ the government said in a press release.     

The action’s organizers urge citizens to actively get involved in the campaign and share photographs or video clips on social networks, by using the hashtag – #TricolorulMeu (#MyTricolour). 

„By celebrating the Independence and Romanian Language, we show that we are proud of the way we have covered and confident in the European future of Moldova. Let us make My Tricolor wave in the entire country and not only, proving that we are united in diversity and that we love Moldova from the bottom of our hearts,’’ the organizers said.   

Moldova will mark the 32nd anniversary of the proclamation of its Independence on 27 August. On this occasion, more cultural events will be held in the Moldovan capital and in other settlements of the country.
