European Village programme: Over 200 households of new district of central Moldova town have access to drinking water

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ -Over 200 households from a new district of the central Vadul lui Voda town have access to drinking water. Two water towers were set in the settlement. The works were carried out within a project included in the European Village programme, worth 3 million lei (150,000 euros). The money is allocated from the National Fund of Regional and Local Development.
The money was used to cover the expenses and buy equipment and materials necessary and carry out the construction and assembly works.
According to the National Office of Regional and Local Development (ONDRL), the two water towers were set in strategic points, so as to ensure an efficient distribution of the drinking water to all dwellings of the district. They have modern technologies, ensuring the quality and safety of the water supplied to residents.
The European Village programme includes 497 projects, of which 155 regard the construction of aqueduct and sewerage systems. So far, 166 projects have been successfully implemented, of which 30 projects concern the modernization of aqueduct and sewerage systems.
