Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Energocom company and the Moldovan Power Station from Kuchurgan (MGRES) have agreed on the schedule of supply of electric energy to the right bank of Dniester in next September. Thus, MGRES will deliver about 302,000 MWh out of the total needs of energy forecast at 334,000 MWh.
At the same time, another about 13.4 thousand MWh will be purchased from the producers of energy from renewable sources (SER) and urban thermal power stations (CETs); the rest of the needed energy is to be covered by acquisition through the Romanian exchange OPCOM.
Energocom specified that the purchasing of electric energy from MGRES will be made based on the present contract, valid till 1 September inclusively; respectively, the energy’s price stays unchanged.
The Moldovan Energy Ministry has recently initiated discussions with MGRES, in order to extend the contract on the supply of electric energy starting from October, this year. Concomitantly, to diversify the sources of supply with electric energy, the Energocom stock company is looking for new providers.
In August, Energocom said it had planned the purchasing of 311,000 MWh from MGRES and in last July – 314,000 MWh – a quantity which covers 98 per cent of the needed consumption on the right bank of Dniester.
In late last March, Energocom signed a new half-a-year contract on the purchasing of electric energy from the Moldovan Power Station from the Transnistrian region. The price is 66 dollars/MWh.
