Moldovan foreign affairs minister's message on occasion of Independence Day

Chisinau, 27 August /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has conveyed a message on the occasion of Moldova’s Independence Day, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.    

The message reads:

„On the occasion of the Independence Day, we are happy that we celebrate not only our country, but also our goal to live in peace and harmony in the European family. The Independence is a precious treasure and the way to the accession to the European Union represents a significant step towards a brighter future.  

Today, we celebrate not only our past and achievements, but also the hopes and aspirations for the future. Through our efforts of promoting the values of peace, democracy and freedom, we can become an example worth being followed for all nations. The European integration is a commitment to prosperity, cooperation and mutual understanding, bringing with it infinite opportunities and strong relations.     

Let us look into the future with confidence, unity and common wish to edify a future, in which our citizens should be happy with the benefits provided by the European integration. May this day bring the fulfillment of all our efforts and mark a new bright page in the history of the Republic of Moldova.    

Congratulations, Republic of Moldova! Congratulations, peace and European integration!’’
