Moldova's Customs Service collects over 777 million lei to state budget in last week

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service collected over 777.8 million lei (about 38.9 million euros) during 21-27 August.
In this time interval, private people brought in Moldova assets, the value of which in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit; thus, payments worth over 3.2 million lei were collected, which accounts for 0.4 per cent of all sum. The money collected from tax payers is transferred directly to the state budget and redistributed for salaries, developing the infrastructure, social projects.
At the same time, 12,379 customs declarations were processed last week and the flow of transport means represented 98,030 crossings. The most transited customs checkpoints stay Leuseni and Sculeni, with 26,017 and, respectively, 17,494 crossings.
As for the combating of frauds, on the concerned period, decision-makers found out 95 infringements of the customs legislation and fines worth over 594,000 lei were imposed.
Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected about 21.8 billion lei to the state budget, which is by 2.8 per cent more against the same period of 2022.
