Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/ - The term in which the former patentees can ask for compensation for their switch to independent activity has been extended by two weeks. Thus, applications can be submitted till 15 September. Deputy Prime Minister, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Dumitru Alaiba made statements to this effect.
Dumitru Alaiba said the decision had been taken, so that the former patentees manage to request the compensation of the expenses and for encouraging the traders to buy cash registers needed for the switch to the independent work.
„I have noticed a greater dynamic in the last two weeks, when almost 1,000 out of the total number of 4,000 former patentees switched to the new regime of independent activity. Taking into account the fact that several days have remained till 31 August, when there is the last day of asking for compensations, some of them might not manage to ask for the compensation of expenses and we do not want these people have a bitter taste. Therefore, we extend the term of compensation of the cash register by two weeks till 15 September. We took this decision, in order to encourage the traders purchase cash registers and, at the same time, carry out works necessary for the transition to the new regime, without having additional stress,’’ Dumitru Alaiba said.
The deputy minister noted that almost 70 per cent of the former patentees had already switched to the new form of work. ‘’There are rumours alleging that the licence will be prolonged in several markets. This is not true. The licence remains history. We provided a new form of work, a transparent and fair one for all traders. In the last two weeks, we have made a huge leap. About 70 per cent of all patentees have already complied and work with cash register and fiscal ticket. Something normal in nowadays,’’ the official added.
Starting from 1 July this year, the activity of retail trade at market stalls, counters, stands, in booths, pavilions and vehicles, as well as the commerce with native food products and easily perishable goods is no longer allowed based on licence. The former patentees, who switch to independent activity, can ask for a compensation worth 10,000 lei (500 euros) - money which will be able to be used for buying cash registers or arrange the working place.
