Orientative purchasing price for wine grapes 6.5 lei/kg in Moldova in 2023

Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ - The cost price of one kilogram of wine grapes, related to a harvest of about 8 tons/hectare, is 6.5 lei, according to information unveiled by vine-growers as to the expenses for taking care of the vine plantations.

The members of the council of channel of products, Grapes, wine, products based on wine and processed products, took note of the evolution of the export of wines, stocks of wines and the forecast of the harvest of grapes of wine varieties in 2023 and ruled to recommend to vine-growers and wine-makers that the orientative purchasing prices for wine grapes should be at least 6.5 lei/kg this year.

At the same time, the Council’s recommendation is that the purchasing prices should be differentiated depending on the variety, the destination of the Protected Geographical Indication and the grapes’ quality.
