EU provides financing for consolidating civil society, democracy

Chisinau, 7 September /MOLDPRES/ - The European Union has launched a call of proposals with an overall budget of 5.5 million euros, aimed at developing and consolidating the capacities of the civil society. The proposals can be submitted till 23 October.

The main goals of this project are: active participation in the political dialogue nationally; implementation and monitoring of European Union’s and national authorities’ development plans and programmes; involvement in the promotion of the gender equality and young people’s inclusion; improvement of the communication between the civil society and citizens, on the one hand, and the authorities, on the other hand, in such sectors as local policy, security and migration.

The EU Delegation in Moldova will organize an information session on the project on 22 September.
