Moldovan foreign affairs minister receives delegation of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan diplomacy head, Nicu Popescu, has received a delegation of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), led by the head of the OECD Eurasia Division, William Tompson, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
At the meeting, Nicu Popescu expressed the wish to boost the cooperation between Moldova and OECD through Moldova’s involvement in the work of the OECD committees and forums. „We are firmly sure that the organization’s platforms and expertise will contribute to the advancement of Moldova’s European integration way and will allow working out the national polices in accordance with the good practices of the EU member states and OECD,’’ Nicu Popescu said.
Also, the Moldovan diplomacy head thanked for OECD’s openness as to Moldova’s request concerning the approval of a Memorandum on Cooperation. In the context, the officials discussed also the negotiation and implementation of the Moldova-OECD Action Plan for the 2023-2027 years, which will allow deepening the bilateral cooperation in such sectors as: environment, green economy and ecological transition, public administration, justice, education, development of small- and medium-sized enterprises, as well as will provide Moldova with support to continue the agenda of European reforms.
