Moldovan sportspeople win 11 medals at World Beach Wrestling Championships

Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/ - Sportspeople from Moldova have got 11 medals at the World Beach Wrestling Championships, held in Constanta, Romania, on 8-10 September. The Moldovan sportspeople won five golden medals, three silver ones and three bronze medals.

According to the Education and Research Ministry (MEC), Pavel Graur, Eugen Mihalcean, Nicolae Stratulat and Luciana Beda became world Under-20 beach wrestling champions.

Also at this age category, another two representatives of Moldova – Ion Marcu and Ion Berghi – ranked second.

Alexandru Borș, along with Ion Laurențiu Marcu, are on the third position.

Alexandru Bors got the world title at the age category of Under-17. Ion Tofan and Vlad Erhan ranked second and, respectively, third.

Thus, Moldova ranked first in the medal ranking at the Under-20 age category.
