Moldovan National Public Health Agency receives consignment of equipment for decontamination on behalf of USA, World Health Organization

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - The National Public Health Agency (ANSP) today received a consignment of equipment for decontamination of behalf of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau Population, Refugees and Migration and the Office of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The donation consists of portable equipment for decontamination, such as shower units, water heating systems, water reservoirs, mobile pumps for residual water, electricity generators, portable systems of decontamination for emergency situations in public health of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear etiology.

The installations can work autonomously, being assembled and exploited easily. This week, ANSP specialists benefited from training on the setting and use of the equipment fort decontamination received. In next November, more workshops will be held regionally and nationally, in order to enhance the level of specialists’ training in their use.

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau Population, Refugees and Migration provides the Moldovan government with support in managing the crisis of refugees, as well as for a better preparation in case of emergencies.
