Call on submitting applications for subsidies in advance for land improvement projects launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) today informed that the land owners can submit applications on asking for subsidies in advance for investment projects on land improvements, amelioration and protection of soil.      

The state’s support accounts for 80 per cent of the value of the project eligible, which will not exceed 1 million lei (50,000 euros). The call on the submission of applications is opened till 18 October.    

„The applications on asking for subsidy in advance are submitted for the following sub-measures: 1) Prevention and combating of soil’s erosion; 2) Chemical amelioration of soils; 3) Conservation and enhancement of soils’ fertility. The criteria of eligibility establish that applicant for subsidies can be the legal entity/private person or the first-level administrative and territorial unit which owns a plot of land, possesses or uses it, registered in the way established by law and is to implement the project through an administrative and territorial unit of the first level,’’ MAIA said.        

The payments will be made in two installments: first installment – 70 per cent of the subsidy’s value, which will be paid, if the beneficiary presents proofs of co-financing at a level of at least 20 per cent from the value of the investment project; second installment – 30 per cent of the subsidy’s value, will be made based on the application of disbursement, at the putting into operation of the investment’s object and presentation of the confirmative acts.      

The applicant will submit the file on asking for subsidy to territorial offices of the Agency of Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) from the jurisdiction in which the applicant will make the investment, the quoted source added.
