Moldovan president pays official visit to Portugal

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu pays an official visit to Portugal. The official will also attend the European Political Community (EPC) Summit in Granada, Spain.

According to the presidential press service, on October 2-4, the president is paying a state visit to the Portuguese Republic to promote our country's accession to the European Union and deepen bilateral relations. Maia Sandu will also have a meeting with our citizens residing in Portugal.

On October 5, Maia Sandu will attend the European Political Community Summit, due in Granada, Spain. The head of state will discuss with counterparts and leaders of the EU institutions about the challenges on the European continent, the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the EU and the ongoing reforms.

The last edition of the European Political Community Summit was held on June 1 in Moldova and gathered 49 European leaders.
