North Atlantic Alliance donates consignment of computers to Training Centre of Sergeants of National Army

Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Training Centre of Sergeants has benefited from a donation on behalf of the North Atlantic Alliance through the Defense Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI).
The consignment was received at an official ceremony organized at the headquarters of the Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy. Attending the event were Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii, the head of the NATO Liaison office in Chisinau, Michaela Šimáková, the ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Poland, as well as the military attaches accredited in Moldova.
The donation, worth about 70,000 euros, comprises furniture, equipment and modern computer technology, necessary for the endowment of classrooms, which will improve the capacities of educational training of the aforementioned centre, according to the western standards.
The defence minister thanked for the assistance provided within diverse projects in the security and defence sector. He noted that the material assets and the specialized equipment donated today would significantly contribute to the professional training and development of National Army’s sergeants, providing them with a more comfortable and efficient education environment.
Moldova was accepted by the North Atlantic Alliance as part of DCBI in June 2015 and the Defence Ministry was nominated as institution in charge of its implementation.
