Moldovan, Romanian officials approach current issues

Chisinau, Oct. 4 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu had a phone conversation with Luminița Odobescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The officials approached the agenda of Moldova Support Platform, a joint project of Romania, France and Germany, the next edition of which will be held on October 17, in Chisinau.

"We focused on the evolution of the Republic of Moldova on the European path and the significant progress we have made regarding the implementation of the nine recommendations issued by the European Commission. These achievements are all the more important as the European Union Enlargement Report approaches, which for the first time will also include the evaluation of our country. We are deeply grateful to Bucharest authorities for their constant support and for the role they play as the main lawyer in our process of joining the European Union", said Popescu.
