European Village programme: 50 projects on rehabilitation, modernization of education institutions finished in Moldova

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - Fifty projects on rehabilitation and modernization of education institutions have been finished within the European Village National Programme.

According to the National Office of Regional and Local Development (ONDRL), the overall value of the projects is of 89 million lei (4.6 million euros), allocated by the government.

One of the projects implied the full renovation of the gymnasium from the Mandac village, northern Drochia district, with an investment of 3.6 million lei. Within this project, vast works of repair of the gymnasium’s roof were carried out. Thus, the education space was transformed for 180 pupils and the staff of the institution and better conditions were created for education and development.

The European Village National Programme comprises 497 projects on the rehabilitation and modernization of the infrastructure in the rural communities from Moldova. As many as 212 projects have been finished so far.
