Moldovan speaker invited to pay official visit to Latvia

Chisinau, Oct. 6 /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu had a meeting today with new Latvian Ambassador to Moldova Edgars Bondars. He wished success to the diplomat, who has almost 30 years of experience in foreign relations, and thanked him for choosing the Republic of Moldova at an important moment for the country, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

The officials approached the friendly relations between the two countries, the parliamentary agenda and the European path of the Republic of Moldova. "I appreciate the friendly relations between our countries, and recently we have a permanent bilateral dialogue at parliamentary level. Latvian assistance for the implementation of the European Commission's conditions and alignment with the Community Acquis is important for us, and we count on further support in the opening of the accession negotiations to the European Union", said Grosu.

Grosu received an official invitation from Speaker of the Latvian Seimas Daiga Mierina to pay an official visit to Riga.
