Head of state says departed Moldovan singers left the most precious thing for country - revival as nation

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/ - Thirty one years have passed since the death of spouses Aldea-Teodorovici. President Maia Sandu conveyed a message in the memory of the artists, the presidential press service has reported.
„The Republic of Moldova was lucky to have the great artists Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici in a crucial moment of its history. The spouses Aldea-Teodorovici left us the most precious thing for a country – our revival as nation,’’ Maia Sandu said.
The head of state stressed that the departed artists had been among the first to have the discernment to promote the country’s independence, the Romanian language and to sing about Eminescu. ‘’We must value this heritage through the fact that we continuously give our helping hand to the edification of a free, democratic and prosperous state, which takes care of its people. This is what Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici sang and fought about,’’ President Maia Sandu noted.
