As many as 372 cases of COVID-19 recorded last week in Moldova

Chisinau, 31 October /MOLDPRES/- As many as 372 cases of COVID-19 were recorded on 23-29 October in Moldova.

According to the National Public Health Agency (ANSP), 36 cases were registered among children up to 14 years old (9.7 per cent of total number). 11,558 samples have been made in the period, with seven cases of death as a result of COVID-19 infection.

ANSP specialists recommends the observance of the principal protection measures for the citizens’ health and safety. Among them, there are: preserving the social distance, avoiding the crowded places; observance of the rules of hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene; observance of the sanitary measures at the place of work, with airing of the closed spaces, wearing of masks in medical institutions and appealing to the family physician upon the appearance of the first symptoms of COVID-19 infection.

ANSP reiterates that the vaccination against COVID-19 stays the most efficient way of avoiding serious cases of disease and death.
