Chisinau, 31 October /MOLDPRES/ - Energy Minister Victor Parlicov today came up with a reaction, after the bashkan (governor) of Gagauzia, Evghenia Gutul, had said that the residents of the Gagauz autonomy would pay a tariff of 10 lei for one cubic metre of gas.
„Shor promises cheap gas, we do. It’s true, they promise more nicely than it can be done. While they provide only news, Energocom managed to buy enough gas till next February and at much lower prices than proposed by Gazprom. This allowed us cutting the gas tariff to 16.73 lei for the household consumers,’’ the energy minister said.
„I suggest, in continuation, two announcements: Shor’s one from the last April and the today’s one of Evghenia Gutul. Please, find ten differences. And ask Shor where is that one billion cubic metres – maybe also where there is the one billion of dollars?’’ Victor Parlicov noted.
The reaction of the energy minister comes, after today the bashkan of Gagauzia Evghenia Gutul informed that the residents of the autonomy might pay a tariff of 10 lei for one cubic metre of gas. The promise was made in the full swing of the electoral campaign for the general local elections due on 5 November this year, although the National Energy Regulatory Agency is in charge of establishing the gas tariffs.
