Grigore Tamblac State University from Taraclia to be turned into branch of Angel Kanchev University from Bulgaria

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Grigore Tamblac State University from Taraclia will be turned into a branch of the Angel Kanchev University from Bulgaria. The initiation of the negotiations on the agreement between the governments of Moldova and Bulgaria on the creation of the branch was decided at a cabinet meeting today.
The implementation of this agreement will diversify the syllabi and will improve their quality and the graduates will receive education diplomas at specialties accredited and recognized in Europe. At the same time, the conditions of work will be improved for teachers, the investments in the university’s technical and material basis will grow and the process internationalization and openness for cooperation with universities from the European area will be ensured.
Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun stressed the need of a higher education institution in southern Moldova due to provide European conditions and qualitative education. ‘’The implementation of the agreement will positively influence the economic life of Moldova through the work of a modern higher education institution in the southern region of the country, through diversifying the services provided by the university to young people from the settlement and, not in the least, through stimulating young people to study and work in Moldova.’’
The Grigore Tamblac State University from Taraclia was founded in 2004.
