Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/ - The teachers from the general education institutions will no longer be obliged to report the way of use of the compensation worth 4,000 lei, annually provided by the government for the purchasing of teaching materials. The cabinet approved a decision to this effect today.
Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun said that, through this amendment, decision-makers wanted to de-bureaucratize the education system: ‘’This is one of the actions through which we are set to de-bureaucratize the work of the teachers. Therefore, they will no longer have to present the confirmatory documents on the use of the money compensation according to its purpose to the institution’s administration till 31 December,’’ the minister said.
Under the regulation, the money compensations annually provided to the teachers can be used for the purchasing of: dictionaries, readers, specialty magazines, teaching auxiliaries, collections of problems, collections of tests, collections of games and literary texts, collections of interactive ways, atlases, encyclopedias, compendiums, anthologies, guides, monographs and other specialty literature, belles-letters, office products and stationery, etc.
They also can buy computer technology, internet services or software products for use in online training activities.
The change as to the establishment of the single period of providing compensation is to enter into force starting from 2024, as this year, some teachers have already received their compensation.
