List of compensated medicines extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/ - Patients ill with cardiovascular diseases and diabetes starting from today will benefit from more medicines existing in the list of the ones compensated from the mandatory health insurances accounts.

According to the National Health Insurances Company (CNAM), it is about five medicines - clopidogrelum, carvedilolum, valsartanum, telmisartanum, gliclazidum, which have earlier been indicated only in complex cases, while now there will be no restrictions in their prescription. At least one commercial denomination from the aforementioned preparations will be provided for free, i.e. will be covered by the mandatory health insurance.

At the same time, the medicine dapagliflozinum, recommended only to patients sick with diabetes so far, will be prescribed also to people ill with heart insufficiency. The concerned preparation will have a rate of compensation of 65 per cent of its price.

Also, as of 1 November, three compensated medicines will be prescribed also in other doses, depending on the patient’s individual needs.
