Moldovan parliament nominates new member of Council of Supervision and Development of Teleradio-Moldova Company

Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/ - Maria Sleahtitchi is the new member of the Council of Supervision and Development of the national public provider of media services. The parliament nominated her candidacy today.

The candidacy of Maria Sleahtitchi was selected following a contest organized by the parliamentary commission for culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass media, to which two persons submitted their files.

Maria Sleahtitchi is university lecturer and writer. Starting from 2019 till present, she has acted as director general of the National Museum of the Romanian Literature.

Under the legislation, the Council of Supervision and Development of the Teleradio-Moldova Company is made up of seven members – three of them put forward by the parliamentary factions, with the observance of the proportional representation of the majority and the opposition and four members are put forward by civil society’s organizations. They are appointed by the parliament for a single mandate of six years.
