CEC: Ballots to be recounted in 11 localities

Chisinau, Nov. 10 /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) ordered the recount of the ballots for the general local elections of November 5, 2023 in several constituencies.

According to the CEC, this is how the ballots will be recounted: for the position of city councilor and the position of mayor in the Nisporeni electoral constituency; for the position of mayor in the electoral constituency of Pîrîta, Dubăsari district; for the mayor of Temeleuți village, Florești district; for the mayor in Carahasani, Ștefan Vodă district; for the position of first-level local councilor in the Mileștii Mici electoral district, Ialoveni district; for the position of councilor in the Edineț electoral constituency; for the position of district councilor and city councilor in Călărași, Călărași district; for the position of mayor and local councilor of the first level in Taraclia, Căușeni district; for the position of mayor and local councilor of the first level in the electoral constituency of Javgur, Cimișlia district; for the position of mayor and local councilor of the first level in the electoral district of Grigorievca, Căușeni district.

At the same time, the invalid, unused and canceled ballots for the position of mayor in the Cioc-Maidan constituency, Gagauzia will be recounted.

The process of recounting the ballots for each electoral candidate will be carried out until November 12, and the result of the recount will be announced on November 13.
