Over 60 companies attend Wine of Moldova Contest-2023

Chisinau, Nov. 13 /MOLDPRES/- Over 60 wine companies, which exhibited around 300 wine samples are participating in the Wine of Moldova Contest, second edition. The contest results will be announced during the Wine Opening, the winter edition, by handing out awards.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA), this event is an appreciation of the importance of the wine industry for the Republic of Moldova, which attracted specialists from countries with experience in the wine sector. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to promote their products and gain recognition for the quality and diversity of wines.

In his greeting to the organizers, experts and participants of the contest, Deputy Prime Minister, MAIA head Vladimir Bolea mentioned the notable achievements of the Moldovan wine industry, noting the success of local producers and the prospects of the sector, highlighting the high level of the wine competition. "The contest is not only a competition, but also a united community of passionate winemakers as well as experts eager to share experiences, discover the best wines and promote the excellence of Moldovan wines. The event is a celebration of the rich taste and aromas of Moldovan wines and an opportunity to reflect on policies and ongoing efforts to support and develop this essential industry for our country," he said.

The event is dedicated to wines produced from local varieties, wines produced from new varieties of Moldovan selection, wines obtained by assembling them with those from European varieties, blended wines obtained from assembling European varieties, as well as spirits of wine origin.
