Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today started the printing of the ballot papers for the runoff election of the general local polls and the repeated elections, due on 19 November 2023.
The runoff elections will be held in 273 settlements. As many as 828, 557 ballot papers will be printed for the runoff election, of which 673,890 in the Romanian language and 190,667 in the Russian language. The width of a ballot paper is of 14 cm and the length is of 12.72 cm. The cost of one ballot paper is of 0.282 lei.
At the same time, repeated polls will take place in eight settlements of Moldova: in six settlements – for the office of mayor and councilor and only for the position of local councilor in two settlements.
A number of 22,927 ballot papers will be printed for the repeated elections, of which 10,783 for the office of mayor and 12,144 for the one of local councilor. As many as 2,082 ballot papers will be printed in the Romanian language and 20,845 ones in the Russian language.
The overall value of the ballot papers printed for the runoff election of the general local polls and the repeated elections is of about 250,000 lei (approximately 12,500 euros).
